Biography
Min Jang received his Ph.D. degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. For more than 10 years, he has conducted various research related to water treatment at Korea Mine Reclamation Corporation (MIRECO) (currently, Korea Mine Rehabilitation and mineral Resources Corporation) in the Republic of Korea, as well as at Pennsylvania State University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Senior Research Fellow. His previous projects involve environmental nanotechnologies, geochemistry, and process water treatments. He has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles on arsenic and heavy metals remediation, mine reclamation, advanced oxidation process (AOP), and nonthermal plasma application. From 2012 to 2016, he served as a Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and now working as a professor at Kwangwoon University, He dedicates his studies to developing economical nano-structured catalysts, water treatment processes, and photo-electro hydrogen peroxide synthesis, for treating organic and inorganic toxic pollutants.
